| Description: |
Human Praja1 recombinant protein (Genbank Accession No. NP_660095), full length with N-terminal SUMO-tag, expressed in <i>E. coli</i>. |
| Background: |
Praja1 (along with Praja2, 53% identity) is a RING-H2 domain E3 (ubiquitin protein ligase) that is involved in the conjugation of ubiquitin to target substrates along with E1 and E2 enzymes. Substrates for Praja1 include Dlxin-1 (MAGE-D1, human) which regulates Dlx5 dependent transcriptional function (involved in osteoblast differentiation) and ELF and Smad3 involved in the TGF-beta signaling pathway implicated in gastrointestinal cancers. |
