Heat Shock Proteins

Heat Shock Proteins1
Heat Shock Proteins2

Heat shock proteins are expressed at much higher levels under conditions of stress, such as pH change, oxygen deprivation, and heat. Their main functions are stabilizing and aiding re-folding denatured proteins, which becomes misfolded under the stress.

Two forms heat shock proteins, HSP90α and HSP90β, are essential to folding and stabilization of over 50 proteins related to tumor growth. This implication makes HSP90 an important target for anti-cancer therapeutics.

We offer purified HSP proteins, inhibitors, and domain-specific HSP90 assay kits enabling researchers to differentiate between inhibitors of the N- and C terminal domains of HSP90α and HSP90β.
